Acclaim’s nominated charity: One For The Boys

One For The Boys

We are proud to be supporting One For The Boys as our charity partner

Here at Acclaim, we believe in giving something back when we can and helping put a little bit of good back into the world, which is why we want to help spread awareness of our nominated charity, One For The Boys

This is a charity we feel a strong connection to due to their incredible work in helping remove the stigma around speaking up about your health and seeking help when you need it.

Who are One For The Boys?

More men die from cancer than women, there’s no biological reason for this. All too often men avoid talking about their problems and brush things under the carpet rather than asking for help. One For The Boys was created to help address this issue by encouraging men to speak up when there might be a problem and to get any potential issues checked early.

As a male cancer charity, One For The Boys educates men on all the different types of cancers that could affect them and the symptoms to look out for. Men can get more than just testicular cancer or prostate cancer, they can also get bowel cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, even breast cancer. Most cancers are treatable if caught early enough, so there really is no time to waste.

How can you get involved and support One For The Boys?

You can make a donation to One For The Boys today to help fund their crucial work. Money raised through One For The Boys goes towards creating education programmes and awareness drives for men, women, and health professionals on crucial areas of men’s health, as well as providing support for those whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

You can also join in the conversation around health by taking part in the One For The Boys #SaySomething Challenge on social media. Join the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Kaluuya, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Joe Jonas, Nicole Scherzinger and more, who have all spoken up about how they’re feeling to help encourage everyone to check-in with their health and normalise talking about how we really are. All you have to do is post a video talking about your physical, emotional, or mental health to your social media, tag @One4theBoys and #SaySomething.
